Ian Flanigan Photography

The LA-based Ian is not one to really set up an artificial shot, he just lets life flow, shooting like crazy wherever he finds himself. The stories seem to unfold around him and his carefree approach puts his friends at ease as he documents their travels up and down the West Coast.

Most of Ian’s work is personal which we like, but it could just as easily be in seen a lookbook or apparel campaign. Just this week, Ian finished up a a fun stop-motion video for a road trip up the coast with his girlfriend to Santa Cruz, Portland, Seattle and back, made from over 2500 images set to The Dog Days Are Over by Florence and the Machine. In a few months Ian will have completed his biggest project to date, his 365 shooting everyday since last March.

Ian hasn’t always been a shooter, he actually went to school for graphic design and one day just realized he wanted to do photography instead. As you can tell by our sampling of images below, Ian has a great eye for lifestyle photography. Contact him for your next skateboard, lifestyle or documentary style shoot. If you don’t he’s ok with that too, as long as he can keep taking photos and skateboarding.

Here’s a look at his road trip video:
