Jessica Castro Photography

As a fashion and wedding photographer, Jessica Castro splits her time between Atlanta and Florida and is soon to make the big move to L.A.

What we love about her is that she’s not afraid to pic up a variety of digital and analog cameras to make the shot. Her fashion portfolio and personal projects like polaroids grabbed us and wouldn’t let go. We spent entirely too much time laying out our favorite images below and thought of all the great magazines, lookbooks and brands that would benefit from her beautiful work.

Contact her for your next fashion, editorial, music or advertising shoot. Her ability to capture subjects in natural light as well as the studio would make her a great to asset to your next project.

Nikki Devereux Photography

Nikki Devereux Photography

Nikki Devereux grew up as an artist, sketching and painting from an early age, but the passion for photography came after college when a friend let her borrow an old Nikon film camera. Once the prints came back, she was hooked, and hasn’t put down the camera since. Today she still uses her Mamiya 645 Super as well as her go-to-camera the Canon 7D for shoots of all kinds. Her main love though, is the fashion shoots where collaboration is key.

“One of the things I love most about fashion photography is the bond of the team. I love to collaborate with my team to create the images. It’s never just about my vision… each person plays a role in the creation of the final set, and I love what happens when everyone contributes their own vision and everything just falls into place. The model, the hair/makeup artist, the stylist – they are all artists and they each bring their individuality to the shoot. It’s such a wonderful feeling to step back and see the team having fun making art and getting excited about the final product. I live for that feeling.” -Nikki Devereux

While Nikki has a variety of images in the sections on her site, not surprisingly we respond most to that work she’s most passionate about, to her fashion work. Enjoy a selection of her work below and be sure to contact her for your next fashion or editorial project. She’s available on either coast as she travels regularly from Florida to New York and the West Coast for shoots.

Kirsty Mitchell Photography

Kirsty grew up in the “Garden of England” with a love for art history, photography, fine art, film and theatre … a product of her loving and nurturing mother’s support and fantastical stories. Tragically, in 2008, a brain tumor took her mother’s life and Kirsty lost herself for a while in street photography, unable to express her feelings—capturing people who seemed to feel the way she did.

A few months later, she turned the camera inward and photography became an overwhelming passion as she tried to create the beautiful and imaginative images that her mother instilled in her dreams as a child. What she thought would only be a small project, has become an engulfing three year Wonderland journey that is finally near completion this summer. With the help of loving friends and volunteers and countless hours of work she’s created a beautiful and amazing tribute to her mother that has be seen to believed.

Kelly Steffey Photography

Kelly Steffey Photography

I’m constantly amazed at the young photographic talent we come across from around the globe. Small-town farm girl Kelly Steffey, 23, from just outside Birmingham, Alabama is no exception. She’s a girl of many passions, but her love for nature, sustainability and living off the land really inspires and energizes her work. She combines breath-taking surroundings, vintage/recycled wardrobes, and beautiful models to create some fantastic and moving images. Her subjects seem confident in their own skin and aren’t afraid to get dirty or explore what the world has out there.

A fact that may surprise you is that she’s not formally trained and only recently started shooting, just two summers ago in mid-2010. She’s now living and breathing the art-form with hopes to make a career for herself in the fashion world, linking arms with eco-focused fashion magazines, green companies and designer labels that use recycled or sustainably grown materials and fair labor practices.
